This Privacy notice applies to information collected CruiseLife GmbH in this privacy policy we will refer to ourselves as ‘CL’,‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ in connection with the products and services that offers our store. This includes information collected online through our websites, branded pages on third party platforms (i.e., social networking services), mobile applications, Cruise Life’s proprietary Retail X in-store platform (“Retail X”), and through our direct marketing campaigns or other online communications, as well as offline through our Customer service, events, in-store campaigns, purchases, and requests, and mobile messaging services (collectively, “Services”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected through the Services, how such information may be used and/or shared with others, how we safeguard it and how you may access and control its use in connection with our marketing communications and business activities. By using the CruiseLife Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.  If you do not, please do not use the Services.

This Privacy Policy is hereby incorporated into and forms part of the terms and conditions of use of the Services.

This website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

This privacy notice supplements the other notices and is not intended to override them.

When you use Services, we may ask you to provide certain personal information to obtain our products or use our services.  For example, we may ask for information when you register to create an account, update your information, shop in our stores, use certain features, access, upload or download content, purchase products or services, enter into sweepstakes or other promotions, register or participate in a competition, fill out a survey, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us.

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

Information You Provide When You Participate in an Online Survey or Other Research. We may also collect information you provide us in connection with participating in an online survey or as a research panel participant.  This may include, but may not be limited to, information about your shopping habits, lifestyle preferences, interests and hobbies, health, physical or behavioral characteristics, or other demographic information, as well as photos, videos, and other user-generated content. 

Information You Provide When You Make a Purchase. If you make a purchase from us, you will be required to provide a credit/debit card number and related financial information (such as CVV, expiration date, and billing address), or other payment information (such as a PayPal or Apple Pay account), depending on the form of payment you choose.

Information You Provide about a Third Party. You may decide to provide us with another person's information (such as name, email, address, or phone number) so that we may recommend or send products or services to such person, or so that we may facilitate your communication with other people. Local law may require you to seek the consent of your contacts to provide their personal information to (or in connection with using Services), and we may in turn use that information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. Where required by law, we will obtain the required consent from the person whose information you provided to us.

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with products or services). In this case, we may have to cancel the contract you have with us and notify you accordingly.

5. Opting out

Certain parts of Services require cookies. You are free to set your browser or operating system settings to limit certain tracking or to decline cookies, but by doing so, you may not be able to use certain features through Services or take full advantage of all of our offerings. Please refer to your Web browser’s or operating system’s website or “Help” section for more information on how to delete and/or disable your browser or operating system from receiving cookies or controlling your tracking preferences. 6. Data security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

7. Data retention

Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.

If you wish to exercise any of the rights set out above, please contact us.

No fee usually required. You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

What we may need from you. We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

Time limit to respond. We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

8. Your legal rights

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data. You have the right to: 

Request access to your personal data (commonly known as a 'Data Subject Access Request'). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.

Protecting children’s privacy is important to us. We do not direct Services to, nor do we knowingly collect any personal information from, children under the age of 13. If CL learns that a child under the age of thirteen has provided personally identifiable information through Services, we will use reasonable efforts to remove such information from our files.

We use certain reasonable security measures to help protect your personal information. However, no electronic data transmission or storage of information can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  Please note that we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us. You use Services and provide us with your information at your own risk.  If we share information with a third party, as detailed in this privacy policy, we shall use all reasonable efforts to ensure that they keep the information secure and only use the information consistent with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Services may contain links to other sites that we do not own or operate. This includes links from service providers, fulfilment companies, advertisers, sponsors, companies we collaborate with or other business partners that may use our logo(s) as part of a co-branding agreement. We are not responsible for these sites or their content, products, services or privacy policies or practices. These other web sites may send their own cookies to your Device, they may independently collect data or solicit personal information and may or may not have their own published privacy policies.
